Warranty Policy – NICT LLC
Dear Customers,
NICT LLC always prioritizes its customers. However, to improve, modernize, and speed up customer service, certain rules and regulations must be followed. We kindly request all valued customers to carefully read and follow the guidelines below before purchasing computer products from NICT LLC. Thank you.
The warranty declared at the time of sale is primarily provided by the product manufacturer. This means the warranty service for sold products is mainly carried by the respective brand's main company. Warranty policies vary from brand to brand, and their detailed terms are available on the official websites of the brands. NICT LLC acts as a facilitator to implement the warranty terms of the main brand companies.
Manufacturer’s Warranty Terms
-
NICT LLC follows international, local, and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) warranty policies for each product.
-
A warranty is an agreement between the manufacturer or importer and the buyer. Through this agreement, the manufacturer or importer is responsible for repairing or replacing the sold product. NICT LLC fully assists customers in obtaining warranty services and acts as an intermediary between the customer and the manufacturer or importer.
-
Most products imported by NICT LLC are serviced within a short time, and in some cases, products are replaced immediately upon receiving a valid complaint.
-
Not all products come with a warranty. Only products for which the manufacturer has announced a warranty period are eligible.
-
Laptop warranties range from 1 to 3 years, depending on the brand and model, but all laptop batteries and adapters have only a 1-year warranty.
-
If a defect is found in a product under warranty, the defect will be repaired, or, depending on the product type, it may be replaced immediately.
-
If the exact model is not available for replacement, NICT LLC may provide another brand of equivalent specification from its stock.
-
If a product is beyond repair and there is no identical or equivalent model in stock, a better product may be provided with a price adjustment and depreciation consideration.
-
If a product cannot be repaired or replaced and there is no alternative in stock, the purchase price may be refunded after a depreciation adjustment.
-
NICT LLC is not responsible for any loss or damage to software or data during product usage or servicing. Data recovery or software reinstallation is also not covered under warranty.
-
Service times after receiving a product for warranty can range from 5–7 days to a maximum of 35–40 days or more, depending on the availability of parts. Many parts may need to be specially imported, which can be time-consuming.
-
Most warranty cases involve replacing the defective part rather than repairing it, and many parts are imported from abroad.
-
Any customized computer setup or operating system provided at the time of sale is not covered under warranty.
-
A lifetime warranty refers to service provided for the duration the product remains available in the market. Once a product reaches EOL (End of Life) status, warranty service is no longer applicable. According to the BCS policy, the maximum benefit under the lifetime warranty is 2 years.
-
For any service outside warranty coverage, NICT LLC may charge a fee with the customer's consent.
-
If replacement or installation of any part is required under service warranty, the customer may provide it themselves or arrange for it through NICT LLC with advance payment.
-
If problems occur during or after free software/hardware tuning within or beyond the warranty period, NICT LLC will not be responsible.
-
Dead pixel warranty claims for monitors require at least 3 visible dead pixels.
-
Customers must bring the product box when claiming warranty.
Cases Where Warranty is Void or Conditional
-
Damage due to careless use, such as water damage, breakage, burning, physical impact, deep scratches, etc.
-
If the product serial number or sticker is partially or completely removed, damaged, or altered.
-
Fungus, rust, or severe damage to motherboards, graphics cards, or RAM will void the warranty.
-
Bent, broken, or damaged pins on motherboards or processors will void the warranty.
-
BIOS password issues are not covered since NICT LLC does not apply any password or security code at delivery.
-
Removing the original operating system from an Apple MacBook voids the warranty.
-
Printer cartridges, toners, heads, rollers, drums, element covers, maintenance boxes, and similar parts are not covered.
-
Using ink, ink cartridges, or toner cartridges other than those approved by the manufacturer will void printer warranty.
-
For combo keyboard-mouse sets sold as bundles, both items must be presented for warranty claims.
-
Power adapters for printers, scanners, routers, switches, access points, TV cards, and similar devices are not covered.
-
If more than 2 months pass after warranty service acceptance without collection, NICT LLC will not be responsible for the product.
-
If the warranty receipt is lost, the purchase invoice and valid proof must be presented.
